5 of my 6 (predicted) NFC Playoff teams are above .500 and tied for 1st place. Only the Saints, 0-3 on the road, are off the pace, after all have played at least 4 games.
Division Champs
NFC East Eagles Philly’s division is tougher than I anticipated, but so are Eagles. They continue to get points on Defense and Special Teams, despite Offense's late game woes. Things may not have to change soon; while upcoming schedule features good defensive teams, only Giants have a threatening offense. vs NYG / Bye / @ AZ / @ Houston
NFC South Saints The schedule stiffens with 4 of 6 vs 2013 playoff teams. However, with only 1 outdoor game, wk 9 at Carolina, in the next 6 weeks, they could be in good shape, IF they keep winning indoors. Bye / @ Det / vs GB / @ Car / vs SF /
vs Cincy/ vs Balt
NFC North Packers 2-1 vs Division; no other North team has played 2 division games. Play 2 of 3, before bye, on the road; will have 3 road games last half of the season. @ Mia** / vs Car / @ NO / Bye
**sleepyj posted Free Pick on game**
NFC West Seahawks Thought they would be undefeated, but 3-1 works. Including @ Wash, 3 of 4, after bye are on road, but lone home game vs Cowboys looks a lot tougher, now, than it did a few weeks ago. vs Dal / @ StL / @ Car
Wild Cards
Cardinals Didn’t think they would be last NFC unbeaten, but not as strong on AZ as I was a few weeks ago. They don’t have a QB and after Denver they have scored and allowed 86 pts. Schedule may take them out of contention with 3 of next 4 vs NFC East.
vs Wash / @ Oak / vs Philly / @ Dal
Lions New HC Caldwell has calmed these once wild Lions. A reliable kicker and healthy Megatron will keep Detroit in the hunt all season. 2 of 3 before bye are on the road, but none are outdoors. @ Minn / vs NO / @ Atl
