I saw a +3 (-125) and pulled the trigger on the HAWKS. I thought this is too good to be true. I took a nap and then rebooted my computer and the HAWKS were down to +3 (-110). I really thought that +3 was going to disappear. I had to make that bet right away. There's got to be some sharp money stepping in at this number. It's not going to go to 3.5, is it?
Remember that old quote "They were who we thought they were?" Well, maybe we can say this about New England "They weren't who we thought they were?" Denver now has beaten SDG and NEG and everyone is going gaga over them. Let's see, the Hawks beat the Saints by 8 and overcame a 10 point defecit to SFR who many believed were the best team in football at the time. As far as I can tell, the Saints and the 49ers were a much stiffer challenge than the Chargers and the Patriots. This isn't any guarantee we are going to the pay window, but you size up the situation and pull the trigger. It was only about two weeks ago everyone was fretting about Manning and the cold weather. Now, people can't get enough of him. I thought early in the Patriot's game a few of Manning's passes lacked zip, but I have to admit after Talib went out he got in synch and looked great. Remember, number one defenses in the Superbowl are 12-3 SUP and we have the potential for nasty weather. Seattle has got swagger. Good luck going forward.
