Up until a week or so ago I had NEVER allowed anything that I read in here to change my stance completely. I have gotten off of games or reduced/increased plays, but had never flipped. I did this about a week ago and of course, the play lost.
In a nutshell, if you have done your due diligence NOTHING you read in here should change your mind completely. It may cause you to reduce or increase your play or perhaps get off it entirely, but never flip completely if you have done the work. It was a difficult loss to take, although entirely my own fault.
It will not happen again.....LOL
Get 'em, Pregamers!

I am a Pregame.com Director of the Boards
Bruno - thanks for the post.
I agree completely, however, as you well know, if you frequent pregame often enough and especially the forum, it's hard not to read about or pick up on some tidbit of info that you hadn't considered. Obviously, in the end, the final decision is yours, but for some of pregame's community members, this is like a candy store for sports bettors with miles and miles of promises and if a shred of self-doubt enters the equation - oops, I'm a goner!
I appreciate your candor and look forward to your posts.
Don't get me wrong, Scotty. I agree, there is a mind-boggling amount of great info to be gleaned here. I 'cap my games prior to reading threads and yes, the stuff that may have been over-looked is then factored in from some 'cappers I respect. I am just saying that you should never sway from one side to the other, as it is extremely difficult to swallow should it lose, which it invariably will....LOL
Bruno makes a great point. It's one thing to be swayed to change your bet size or maybe pass on the game, but if you liked the Giants last night, were swayed to pick the packers instead, then watched that beat down you would have thrown your remote at the tv, broke the tv, and then you'd be out a lot of money! In all seriousness great point Bruno.
What if you have a lot of wagers at +Ev? By default the large quantity would be good quality. Wouldn't it?
Rule #1. Bankroll Management!
Rule #2. Discipline!
Yes, but the landscape, and I mean the world at large, is riddled with men who were on the right side of the equation and are now on the down side. It's unfortunate but true; +Ev is no guarantee. I guess that's why they have such big hotels in Vegas. I often wonder why anyone would want to open a sportsbook given that the outcome is never guaranteed. One bad week and they lose millions...tens of millions. But in the long run, even the best of the best sports gamblers go on losing streaks. How they respond is what separates the long term winners from the rest.
And by the way - I'm one of "the rest!" LOL
Bottom line, if you have been a proven winner over the years listen to WHY people like the other side, and legitimate you should take note. But if I love a game there is a legit reason I do and won't sway...I don't care who is on the other side. Like NYG yesterday. I am very confident in my ability.
