GREEN BAY PACKERS (+6) AND
OVER 60 GREEN BAY PACKERS @ ATLANTA FALCONS
This number just seems outrageous for a total, but still just can't get away from the fact that these two offenses will be clicking on full cylinders here today. As everybody knows by now, the Green Bay Packers have been the hottest team in the NFL to close out the season, now having won 8 straight games after starting out the season with a 4-6 ML record. They have done so by bringing the offense every single game, hitting for 30+ points in each of their L6 games and outscoring their opponents in that span, 209-110. The Packers have also put together a 7-1 ATS record in those 8 contests, while also posting a perfect 3-0 ATS mark when playing as the underdog in that span. As everybody also knows, Rodgers has been the main catalyst for that as well, tossing for 21 TD and 1 INT in the 8-game stretch to go with a blistering 117 Passer Rating. They have been a good bet to back all season long when playing as the dog, going 3-2 ML with a 4-1 ATS record in those 5 games. One of their losses was the 33-32 loss at the Falcons back in October, in which the Packers were listed as a +3 underdog and the total closed going over the number of 51. Atlanta is certainly no slouch themselves, as they too come into this one having won 5 straight games and 6-of-their-L7 overall, while also holding a 4-1 ATS mark over their L5 overall. Atlanta also comes into this one having won 3 straight on their home turf, while going 2-2 ATS in their L4 there. They too have been a scoring juggernaut when playing at home this season, as Atlanta has topped the 30-point mark in 7-of-their-9 games played at home this season, being held below 28 points in a game only once in their own building. On the defensive end, 6-of-their-9 opponents there have also topped the 30-point mark this season as well, so expect the points to be a plenty in this one. Last week's playoff win over Seattle was the first time this season the Falcons have won as a favorite of more than -4.5 points and since the 2013-14 season, the Falcons are now 1-6 ATS in their L7 when playing as a favorite of more than -4.5 points and 2-8 ATS in their L10 in that situation. The last time the Packers lost when playing as an underdog in the playoffs was back in the 2012-13 season when they lost to San Francisco as a +3 underdog, but Green Bay is now 3-3 ML and 6-0 ATS in the L6 playoff games they were listed as the underdog in that span. But here's where it really gets telling: Rodgers has been absolutely money against the Falcons in his career. Like deadly money. The superstar QB has matched up against the Falcons 5 times during the regular season in his career and once in the playoffs. He has a completion percentage over 70% in those games and has completed at least 24 passes in all 6, while tossing for 310+ yards in 5-of-those-6 meetings. Way back in 2008, he threw an INT in his first ever game against them, but has never thrown another one against them. He currently sits at 16 TD and the 1 INT, while also adding 2 rushing TD and a QBR over 120 in his career against them! Overall the Packers have managed a 3-3 ML mark against the Falcons with Rodgers under center, but they have won 2-of-the-4 meetings he Packers in his career, but in comparison to Rodgers, he pales quite a bit. Rodgers has a near 70% completion percentage against GB in his career, while tossing 13 TD and 5 INT. He has been much better in the last 2 meetings against them though since 2014, hitting for 7 TD and 1 INT and tossing for over 650 yards. Ryan was part of the problem in the Falcons loss to the Packers back in 2010-11, as he tossed for only 186 yards and finished with a TD and 2 INT in the playoff loss. Despite the close loss this season, Green Bay has now won 4-out-of-the-L5 meetings against the Falcons, with two-of-the-L3 meetings being decided by an even 1 point. The Packers have also posted a 4-1 ATS mark in the L5 meetings held in Atlanta and although they are 3-2 ML there, the two Falcons wins have come by 3 points or less. Add to that, the road team is also 5-0 ATS in the L5 meetings between the two teams, while the underdog has also managed to come through with an 8-2 ATS record in the L10 meetings between them. The Packers have hit the Over at a 6-0 clip in their L6 overall and the Over is also now 6-0 in their L6 vs the NFC. The Falcons have been playing to the Over lately as well, hitting for a perfect 9-0 record for the Over in their L9 games played in Atlanta. Roll with the GREEN BAY PACKERS and the OVER here tonight.....
Let's get that money!!
