I'd like to note the 3/12 redzone stat is very deceptive. In the first two losses, STL and PIT were getting away with a lot of holding calls on the WRs. On top of that, there were a few times the WRs or RBs simply dropped the ball (or the O-Line committed dumb penalties). That had *nothing* to do with the opposing defense. Yea, they only went 1-3 in the redzone on Sunday night.. but they still dropped 39 on the SeaHawks in SEA. After all, scoring DOES count if it's outside the redzone, too (e.g. - Palmer droppin' bombs in the endzone against the "Legion of Boom").
Arizona struggles running the ball? Considering they went up against SEA, I think most teams would struggle running the ball. In other words, AZ runs well enough to keep defenses honest to worry about a home run threat (in CJ2k or Andre Ellington). Hell, even David Johnson has home-run ability.
Arizona's secondary mediocre? I'd probably say that for more of AZ's linebackers than their secondary. I'm no big fan of Jarraud Powers (who the opponents pick on quite a bit), but there are very few teams that have a better secondary in a dime or nickel formation than AZ. The mistake AZ is making is they should have Bethel instead of Powers out there. A secondary with Bucannon/Mathieu/Peterson/Bethl is pretty damn good.
One note about AZ's offensive line: Yea - they didn't look too peachy in the late 3rd/early 4th quarter. But anyone else notice Palmer was getting a decent amount of protection compared to previous AZ vs SEA games? For a good chunk of the game, esp. during "aerial assault" plays, Palmer was getting a pretty good pocket.
Cincy has a good O-line, but given what AZ has on O-line this year, they've got a top 10 O-Line, too.
