Of course, I am referring to the Titans @ Tbay, where no 2 Mariota heads to No1 Winston.
I am NO fan of Winston, I don't think he will be an effective qb in the NFL, and I big part of my handicap is that I don't think he will be a devoted hard worker improving his game, and putting in the extra time needed to succeed.
Having said that, I DO believe he is more NFL ready right now than Mariota who is working hard right now on playing the game under center. Further, Tampa Bay IS the better team right now as well. Both teams went 2-14 last year, but the Bucs managed to go 1-9 in games decided by 8 or less, and frankly did it in some of the most creative way possible, including losing a won game due to 12 men on the field vs. the Bengals, and losing on a fumble 6 at the opening of an OT loss to Minnesota.
Checking my closing power ratings, TBay was 2 points better (correction, Tenn was 2 points worse) at the close of last year. Given this, and given we pick up the more ready qb RIGHT NOW, the Bucs are worthy of an investment.
Fast Forwarding a bit, four years from now we will likely be firing on hard working Mariota -5 when they play in Tennessee!
However, right now, put me down for
482 TBAY -3 vs. Tenn
