Az's Season Win number would be 6 with their current team if they had to play the entire season. 11-3 in my eyes doesn't matter. The only similar situation I can think of might be Cincy Bearcats with Kenyon Martin, when he blew out his leg, and they were a borderline no1 seed drawing dead in the tourney.
I simply cannot understand why all the talking heads who have Zona ranked about the same as Sea aren't flying to Vegas to bet thousands on them......
Having said all that, Zona getting +8 is getting attractive EVEN USING MY RATINGS...which are the most skewed of ANYONE I have seen......
Actually, with Lindley at QB, I'd put it at just 4 wins, just like it was a couple years ago when they were trotting out Max Hall/Derek Anderson/Hoyer/Lindley. If Stanton was out there, 8. Carson = 12.
On the flip side.. If it's just one game., anything can happen, but you will not see me bet on either team as of yet (although if AZ hits +10, I'll see you on that train.) I think there is a better bet than the under and the spread, and I'll have the "Christmas gift" to the pregame forum soon. :)
Meanwhile, the flip side of AZ being mismatched is that SEA is basically one injury away (read: Wilson) from being a 6 win, team, too (or in other words, being on the same level as AZ). He's been awful lucky avoiding the injury bug the past 3 years, esp. at his size.
On that note, I'll be back.
