Three key reasons I'm on the Jets tonight:
1. Public overreaction to last week- The Bears won on national TV last week so now the short-term memory public bettors love them.
2. Public loves offense, ignores defense- Quarterbacks and offenses get much more media attention than defenses. The public loves offense and they like the Bears offense more than the Jets offense. At the same time the public will overlook the fact that the Jets have the far superior defense. Last year the Jets beat both the Saints and the Patriots at home, so they are more than capable of winning tonight.
3. Chicago injures- Key players are missing from the Bears offensive line and several spots in their defense. Don't forget that the Bears WRs Marshall and Jeffry are still not 100%.
Finally it is worth noticing that the vast majority of public bets are on the Bears tonight, but the line has not budged, and the Jets are still favored. Sportsbooks are clearly taking a stance with the Jets, and while the books don't win every time, they win more than they lose. After a tough loss last week, the Jets' motivation should be 100% at home on national television. I think jets -1.5 is the best number possible at this point so my bet is in. BOL tonight everyone.
