I've been following the handicappers and forum posters for the past 10 months or so at Pregame. I'm very happy to have found a place where people with similar interests (to me) can gather and express different ideas about how to approach the very difficult game of sports handicapping. One thing bothers me though. I've noticed that some forum posters feel the need to lash out at a 'capper if they were given (or purchased) a losing play. What's the point of doing this? No one twisted anybody's arm to solicit advice. If you did purchase a selection, did you not do it based on performance or track record of a given 'capper? You certainly should have !
I don't purchase picks anymore but when I did I didn't just blindly bet them. Many times I went against the pick purchased if I had a different opinion. I was paying just to HEAR that pros point of view. My experience tells me there is enough free "advice" at Pregame to improve anyone's bottom line results IF YOU ARE WILLING TO STUDY. After all, that's what the pros do !
I suppose if you are "too busy" to spend any time researching the sport you are wagering on then you have no choice. If that is the case, perhaps you should choose a different hobby. If you do purchase a pick from someone, please don't insult them in the forums here if it doesn't "come in". No purpose is served by doing that except making you look like a fish...
Happy Thanksgiving Handicappers !
