I've been with 5Dimes for over three years and have only been using Western Union option for deposits and payouts. I've probably used this option 30-40 times over this timeframe. About a month and a half ago I tried to send $2000 and the transaction was flagged by western union (probably as a gaming institution tranasction). I called WU and they had me answer some questions which I obviously made up a story on but they still wouldn't let it go through. I lowered the amount, got a new name and the transaction went through the next time I tried.
Monday I called 5Dimes to request a payout for $1900. I went to my WU to pick it up and the rep told me it was under review. I then went to another WU (5dimes suggested I do this) and they told me there was no record of that transaction at all. I then called WU and the rep told me the same story about not having anyhtnig on record regarding the transaction. I called WU later in the day and asked them to speak to a manager. This time the manager told me the tranasction was cancelled and wouldn't disclose any other info. He said the sender(5Dimes) had to call him if there were any other questions.
I called 5Dimes today and they said my money would be refunded to me today or tomorrow and that I can no longer use the WU option because my account has been flagged.
Just a heads up that this CAN happen. It sucks that I can't use this option anymore, I will have to do checks or the debit card route from here on out. Very frustrating situation especially having to wait this long to get my money refunded. By no means am I knocking 5Dimes, but just a heads up about Western Union. Take care fellas.
