Wrong......sending money is ridiculously easy by Western union or Money gram. Takes 5 minutes, most books even reimburse those fees. I've been with the same sportsbook in Costa Rica for over 10 years and have never had a single problem or issue. Get my money by Fed Ex with 5 or 6 days.......the key is playing at a reliable book.
-If you're using WU or MG online, the fees are significantly higher, and often are not covered by books. Before you get fixated on this, I said "often". There are some that probably do, including the one you play at.
-Sending WU or MG online will get you red flagged much quicker than doing it in person, which is a huge pain to someone not used to it
-For the most part, you can't do any more than $500 at a time with MG and WU.
-You have been with the same book for ten years and never had an issue which is great. Just because that is the personal experience you have had, does not mean it represents the offshore industry as a whole. I agree, the whole process tends to go much smoother if you choose a top tier book.
Again, I don't find it hard because I'm used to it. He's someone who has never played offshore, and is used to credit and an exchange of cash every week. So yeah, registering for an account, contacting the book, getting a P2P name, registering at both WU and MG online, sending the money, contacting the book with the control number, hoping the book picks up the fees, contacting the book to request a payout, and taking the check to the bank and depositing it is not going to be "ridiculously easy" to someone used to the local thing. And that's if everything goes perfectly with no hiccups.
