I had a really frustrating but typical interaction with an online bookmaker tonight. I asked William Hill €220 @ 10//11 LA Lakers Under 211. I've got offered 210.56 which I declined because I only like to bet to win round numbers (I call it betting OCD). So I've got around their online risk tool by putting it in a parlay with a 2/7 shot in the darts (540/220) that I thought was pretty much a good thing. Of course the 2/7 shot has got beat, not to worry but the line in the Lakers game is now 209 so I have to pass. The annoying thing is I would never have a parley on a NBA total. I just want the single. So the bookamker restriction has made me have a loose (losing) bet.
Now I'm not crying about restrictions, I work in the industry, I'm a sewer rat advantage/arber bettor who will always nick your wrong prices so I deserve it. But how do other people react in this situation? I'm closed in my own name, my girlfriends name and one of my friends names which is about twenty accounts. I only want to bet to supplement the pathetic wage the industry pays me but there are only so many times I can reinvent myself before all my avenues are closed and I have no edge anymore.
I presume Vegas is the same so how do guys over there that run into restrictions edapt to get around it?
