Coming off a posted 7-0 CBB day, I have high aspirations today which is usually not all that good. I am not sure if my lines or "the" lines are off today, but something seems amiss. I'll have to delve deeper. Not looking at anything before noon to avoid pressing. I'll get one out there to open discussions. Remember....I am sticking with ½ unit plays to open the season. Kent State +4½ (-110) ~ Short defensive bursts should keep this close to the wire, although 137 may be a bit low overall. Two gritty squads usually make for an interesting game. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see the minor +170 upset here, although I don't think it quite warrants a ML play.

Xavier +5½ (-120) ~ I'd take the points with a team that hung up 117 (even against a solid HS team) in their last start....anytime. As above at +180.
Butler/Xavier Over 62 (-110) 1st Half $100 ~ Seems a bit low.
Butler/Xavier Over 133½ (-120) ~ These two combined for over 190 points in their openers while allowing 134. It won't be near that, but as square as it seems....I gotta bite.
Cleveland State/Michigan Under 128½ (-120) $100 ~ The Vikings vs a Big X team? I gotta take the Under here.
Wichita State +4½ (-105) 1st Half $75 ~ Couldn't pull the trigger on the gameline as the 5 point swing is too much to wrap my head around.
Mississippi State -5½ (-120) ~ Tough to gauge the Owls after allowing 80 to UNC. Have to think an SEC team wins comfortably, but will be looking further at this one. Perhaps an early upgrade?
California -20½ (-120)
Not sure I am ready to concede a game to the Blue Devils on a neutral court yet. Cats or nothing in this one. Let's watch the line throughout the day. The total does seem to be quite sharp.
