Do so many people respect what the say. It's the Sharps im talking about. I don't understand it. Who the hell are they. Do we have faces? Names? What their record is. Why do people rely so much on what they do when we don't even know who they are. I have purposely downgraded or taken some plays (before my card goes out) if im know that i am on the same side of the sharps and it has paid helped. I have made comments here and there about the sharps, but after they went 0-2 in Marcos Daily thing (no offense to you Marco) and just 39-38 in those last 77 I had to make this thread.
I know wanna know what makes them sharp. Do they have access to better stats than us? NO!!! Do they have other info on the game that we can't have access to? NO!!! Do they get better game plans from teams than we do? NO!!! Do they have inside info? NO!!!
ARE THEY SMARTER THAN US? HELL NO!!! Last week Marco had a play on the Detroit/ Boston Game Under on his betting first look and yes it was a winner, but he stated in it that because of what happened in each team last games the sharps knew that both teams would bring the defensive intensity to that game and im thinking, what makes the sharps so special that they could figure that out and we couldn't. Ridiculous.
I don't understand why people put so much stock and RELY so much on people that they know nothing about. I personally think the sharpest minds are here at Pregame and I would take much more stock in what they have to say, because i know them and can talk to them and they are REAL!!!
SO WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHO THE HELL THESE GUYS ARE AND WHY PEOPLE WOULD TAKE SO MUCH STOCK IN WHAT THEY SAY!!!

Sharp bettors are simply those who get the Best Lines prior to movement or after movement. Getting a Sharp Line means that you are a "Sharp" although that particular term irritates the Shiit out of me. lol..

I really hate the term Sharp Money as well Greg. Just trying to figure this whole thing out, why people would put their hard earned money down just because sharp money moved it one way.
That's why I had to retweek and go back to using my own basketball knowlege rather than strictly watching movement to follow "sharp money"....over time it was trending back to a 50/50 proposition which is not worth my time....in the right situations I still look at it in depth but I bring a lot of myself to the table every day now too

I have taken plays off my card or downgraded them just because i found i was on same side of sharp money.
Jeff by no means trying to be critical but that is honestly the 1st time I EVER heard anyone say that!

Jeff, I probably did not make myself real Clear. I love the term Sharp Bettor. I HATE the term "Sharps." Sharp bettors simply are betting a line that disagrees with their initial numbers and in a low volume setting, (Opening Lines) those lines will re-adjust...
That does not mean these Sharp Bettors even like the side they are betting. It just means they are positioning themselves with a good line...
Therefore, I totally disregard what happens early and it has no affect on me handicapping the game. The same should go for you...
When someone says "Sharps bet Kansas at -2 and now the line is up to -3" that does NOT mean Kansas is the right side and in fact due to the line change it offers value the other way..
My best advice to you. STOP listening to this crap. It means nothing at all..
