Tony George has long been known as a Big 12 Expert. Here at Pregame I concentrate a great deal of my efforts in Big 12 Football and Basketball. Having lived in Lincoln Nebraska for 23 years, and doing local radio for 8 years including a legit nightly sports talk show for 2 hours nightly, it afforded me an opportunity to get to know coaches, SID's, AD's and beat sportwriters for every University in the Big 12. Many of these sources are still in place today.
My beloved Huskers have since left the Big 12, but my prowess and expertise and contacts continue to run deep. I love the Big 12 with or without them. 6 out of the last 7 years I have acheived a WIN - LOSS percentage of 58% ATS or better in this conference in BOTH football and basketball, and 4 out of the last 7 years that win percentage exceeded 60%.

Wouldn't you agree Missouri has the best free throw defense in the conference?
This is a great thing TonyG, just wish we had some SEC/Big12 clashes so we could chop it up, maybe come Tourny Time...
Yes I would Sparty...and feel free to chime in as well in this thread Spartan.... You are no doubt a close ally in this thread and know your Big 12 as well. Johnny D asked me to start it and I feel some good info exchange can be had....

Missouri the ONLY Team in the Big 12 with an undefeated Home Court.
Kansas has 1 loss at home. All teams in the Big 12 have a winning record on their home floor, although Texas Tech is 6-5.
Tony, not big XII question, but was looking at some games on the Saturday slate.
Nebraska @ Penn
I poised a line of a pk em here w/ a total of 107. I don't know how these two will get to 100 combined.
Was wondering if you thought Nebraska may be favored away here, or what kind of line you envision. Not that I plan on making a wager, but I may guess that this will be the lowest total on the board come Saturday. thx
I was just making a joke Tony, I have a weird sense of humor sometimes. Good luck with this.
I know Sparty.....lmao
RB - Let me look into that NU / Penn Game and make an informed response on Friday. I can already tell you I do not trust NU on the road..... their defense has been deplorable the last 5 games and if anything that total looks tasty on an Over....
This is a GREAT TOOL that should help people understand how to handicap the Big 12 in both football and basketball. PROPS to Tony for putting this together!

Saturday Quick Takes..I will have a play along the way here somewhere....
The biggest game on deck for tomorrow is MIzzou and Baylor. Mizzou should open up around a -5 favorite at home, bear in mind they beat Baylor on their own floor not too long ago. Mizzou is tough at home, a strong home court and the only team in the Big 12 with an undefeated home floor. Baylor is in a tough spot, and if they want to be considered elite, they need to win a big game on the road, I doubt it comes here....but it will be a shootout......jury is out on this one..MU the better team, and if Ratliff can own the boards MU could roll.....Lots of "If's" in this one...
Iowa St. might be an also ran, but a tourney team in the field of 64 and are always worth a strong look at Hilton Arena, a VERY tough place to play, and Texas AM 0-5 on the road. ISU is undervalued many times, and are 12-3-1 ATS their last 16 Big 12 games. Remember they beat Kansas in here as a 6 point pup and gave Mizzou all they wanted here too. Iowa State is very well coached team.
Kansas State is at Texas, in what should be a near pick em game. The biggest problem for Texas is their coach, Rick Barnes, who is a horrible big game coach, and average at best overall. His teams underachieve while Frank Martins overachieve. K States defense allowing less than 57 ppg their last 5 and are extremely physical...tough matchup for Texas.
Texas does play well at home. K State won by 4 at home earlier this year....all depends on the line in this one....I could see Texas pulling the upset. K State in the first meeting only hit 55% from the free throw line and Texas hit 90% at the line....VERY INTERESTING GAME...gonna be close
Kansas will be laying a big number against Okie State and should crush that young team at Phog Allen, and Oklhoma travels to Texas Tech in what should be a battle of uglies, OU might pick up a road win here but will be favored 3 or so....in my opinion.....
Early takes as I look ahead, as always it depends on the lines.......Looking at a few in the MO Valley tomorrow, my other specialty conference but hopefully I can find some value in opening lines tonight....
