Pittsburgh is the visitor tonight when they take on Maryland. Pittsburgh made 11 of 14 three pointers in last Friday's 76-63 win over Morehead St. Pitt's combo of Moore and Young coupled with Artis, have led Pitt to a nice 5-1 season start. Pitt's point guard Chris Jones has one of the best assist to turnover ratios in the country, recording 20 assists against only 3 turnovers. Maryland may be a tad over rated, as oddsmakers have made the Terps a slight favorite tonight at home. I think the line is not slight enough . Take PITTSBURGH + 4 1/2

Overrated?  Maryland isn't rated in one poll and 22nd in another poll.  They are 7-0, and big 5 teams that are 7-0 with Marylands reputation normally would be rated much much higher.  Pitts schedule has been E Mich, Gardner-Webb, SMU, Marquette, Yale, and every married man's favorite Morehead St......other than SMU that's a weak schedule.  We all know there's nothing normal here.

Now she's at least a critic regarding my thread's selection. I'm proud of you, even though we disagree. Well, thats better than being disruptive. Actually I'm glad you feel so strongly, as maybe since you are so highly respected around here, maybe the line will go up and I can play again and get more points.

In the 1st Half, Pitt hit 67% of their shots. Maryland beat Georgetown by only 1 point. Isn't that impressive. I like my position, in fact, that 7-0 record Maryland has, was very misleading.

Final   Pitt  73   Maryland  59   (Maryland won't be rated 22nd in any poll this week).

Pregamers If you watched this game, now you fully understand why Maryland being 7 - 0 , was of no value in the decision making process of my picking Pittsburg. If there was ever a trap, Maryland and the 7 - 0 Terapins were certainly one. If you noticed in my capsule of reliable info, I did not even mention Maryland being 7 - 0, as it not only was of no value, but was the core of the trap that every person who piayed Maryland fell prey to. If this game taught you anything, it hopefully was, don't ever assume that a (phony) winning record of 7 - 0 has to be of great value. I have to give the Vegas lines makers credit, as they made a line that buried every player that has no clue how to detect a game that screams trap.
