SEMO AT UT-MARTIN
UT-M got off to a very shaky start in conference play going 2-5. They appear to have finally righted the ship as they are riding a three game winning streak and set tied with Murray and EIU on the loss side atop the West in the OVC all with 5 conference losses. SEMO is pretty much out of a chance, not mathematicly, to qualify for the conference tournament. SEMO is on a 5 game ATS winning streak which started with the first meeting of these two in Cape Girardeau. In that game I got to see, in person, the best half of basketball that SEMO has played this year. They jumped out to a 32-15 half time lead. In that half UT-M was 25.0% from the floor, 0-9 from the arc and 1-4 from the line. But there's two halves to a game. UT-M woke up at the half and slowly ground their way back into the game and ended regulation tied. SEMO went on to win in over time 68-60.
I guarantee you the Skyhawks are chomping at the bit for this game. I don't see SEMO building up a big cushion in this one. Almost every game you can count on SEMO to go through one or two stretches where they are very good. The problem is they can't put a whole game together and their bad stretches far out way their good ones. I look for a big effort from the Skyhawks and if they get a chance to poor it on they will.
