Thanks for everyone's support. I am glad we've been able to help. Pregame's forums and free plays have helped us find some winners too. Purdue worked out pretty nicely last night. Too bad they gave it away at the end or we all would've had a nice little bonus with the .5 unit ML play. Pro was good too with the plays I put on here. I didn't post anything on the LAC/CHI or CLE/HOU games because we hit those last minute, but we got the side and total nailed with both, and a 2nd half Over also with HOU/CLE. It took a little luck to get the OT we needed for the Over, but it worked out and we had a hell of a day and a hell of a weekend. Everything going great since I started sharing our picks, even slightly better than normal, so i guess it is good Karma for helping out!!
I didn't plan on making any plays tonight because it is a tight board. Enough of a lean in The UVA/CUSE game to make a play though, plus some solid market analysis trending our way.
Virginia/Syracuse Under 114 (2 units) Not a big play because this number is so low that any anomaly is going to ruin the play. Tread lightly, but make the play. It is pretty easy to see that this should be low scoring, but how low? The factor that could make it go over is Gbinije and his ability to stroke it if left open. The counter to that is Tony Bennett. If UVA had a lesser coach leading them, then I would be scared to recommend this and we would not be making this play, but it will be on the Phoenix board because Bennett has seen what Gbinije can do and he will make sure there is a plan in place to keep tight on him. Gbinije aside, the defensive talent is enough on both ends to stifle the opponent. Now lets just hope these teams don't try to push the ball. I'm wary that they try to push it to beat the good halfcourt D's down the court, but I have confidence that these Ds will get back in transition pretty well and limit each other. All that waffling aside, we are going with the under and I think you should too. For all of you who are gaining such confidence in The Phoenix picks and have started increasing your wager size on our picks, don't do it on this one because their is too much potential for it to go over if something weird happens. Also, our track record is much much better with sides than totals, and we play many more sides than totals. Tread lightly.
