Another decent day... we gained units but went 2-2 on our top plays but one of our underdog plays won outright pretty handily so that makes up for it. We have a surprisingly large card for such a small slate of games so lets get to it. Look out for a huge card tomorrow!!!
3* Plays
Cornell -4
It may be hard to back Cornell in this matchup due to their very mediocre offense but we are doing it anyway as they are playing a Brown team who in our opinion has one of the worst defenses in the conference. The reason for this play is because of the defense of Cornell. They rank as one of the best in the conference and do an excellent job at turning teams over. Brown loves to shoot the 3s which is going to be an issue tonight against Cornell who does a great job of locking down the perimeter. We are taking the better, more experience home team tonight to cover pretty easily.
Canisius -4
Another short home favorite with the Golden Griffins tonight. These teams are separated by one game in the conference standings and are both coming in pretty hot. This game would be our game of the week if it wasn't for the rebounding ability of Quinnipiac. Their rebounding ability makes this play a 3* instead of 4*. Besides their rebounding ability Quinnipiac is a terrible offense team sitting at last in the conference in FG%. The key to this game is the 3 point shooting of Canisius. Their offense has been clicking and a lot of that has to do with knocking down 3s. Being at home against a Quinnipiac team should result in quite a few falling for the home team. If Canisius can limit the second chance buckets they should win by 12.
Niagara -4
For the 3rd time we are backing the home favorite with a line of -4. This is the check your local listing game as no one is going to watching this game unless they have money on it. We like focusing on these games as it seems there is usually a error in the line as was the case in the Air Force game on Wednesday night. Marist's offense is putrid ranking near dead last in offense efficiency. They might found some room to improve upon that as Niagara doesn't really play defense very well. The key for the Niagara defense is shutting down Lewis as the entire offense runs through him. If he gets hot Marist has a chance if he struggles they could lose by 20. We are banking on Niagara with their big guards focusing on him and shutting him down. On the offensive side of the ball Niagara does two things well they crash the glass (even though they are severely undersized) and they attack the basket drawing fouls. Reid could have a huge game getting to the line and dominating the glass. This one could stay close throughout but we will take the team that is not so dependent on one player and is at home. Our system honestly says this game shouldn't be close with Niagara winning by 9.
