This is listed as a home game for Ol'Miss but it will be played at a neutral site in Southaven, Ms. which is just south of Memphis. This is a great location for SEMO as Memphis is their main recruiting area and the school is well known there. SEMO currently has 5 players on their roster form Memphis while the Rebels have 2. SEMO's last outing against Arkansas was a really bad match up for them. This game isn't. SEMO's main problems this year have been poor shooting from the 3 point and ft line's. Their main two 3 point shooters, first team All Conference J. Bradley is shooting 32.3% while Isiah Jones is shooting 30.4%. Both of these players are MUCH better shooters than that. They are getting good looks the shots just aren't falling. SEMO as a team are 63.6% from the ft line primarily because of two players, Nino Johnson 44.7% and Antonius Cleveland 43.2%. In their last game against Arkansas they went 18-22 81.8% from the line. I like this match up almost as much as I liked SEMO at Mizzou, and no I'm not saying Mizzou is as good as Ol'Miss. Ol'Miss has two players M.J. Rhett (21.1 minutes pg.) and Terence Smith (15.6 min. pg.) who transferred from Tenn. St. and UT-Martin respectively. SEMO knows both of them very well since they came from OVC school's. Ol'Miss is 0-5-1 ATS as a favorite while SEMO is 1-3-1 as a underdog. Two of those losses for SEMO I don't really count as they were the first two games of the season and two of their best players weren't available. They are a very different team with those two players.
If they can hit some three's and just be decent from the line they have a chance at the outright in this match up. I'll be traveling to Southaven tomorrow so won't be around after noon.
