I love Michigan, but seeing them at this number is a bit scary!
What do you guys think?
Going to be a weird game after my Wolverines beat Ohio State Saturday. Going to be a bit of a tough test as Northwestern needs to win this game if they have any shot at making the tournament. Michigan is a much better team than Northwestern, so tread lightly my friend.

Michigan isn't as good as people are giving them credit for and this is a very bad situational spot for them. Young team on the road after probably one of their biggest wins in the past few years and against their biggest rival. Brandon is right, Mich is more talented and a better team than NW, but as we all know that doesn't mean a whole lot in NCAAB, especially in conference.
Bad spot for Mich + perceptionally low line = NW or pass.
NW wants the first ever bid and oddsmakers are believing. So am I
How is Michigan overrated? They have a Top 15 RPI and they're 4-4 against RPI Top 25 teams. Look at their losses: Duke, Michigan State, Ohio State, Indiana, Arkansas and Iowa and Virginia — six of them on the road and Duke in Maui. They're a good team.
nw had mich beat at mich...anyone see that?
Don't throw dung at me and tell me it is raining brown, solid water.
btw...in chicago theyre calling this the biggest game in nw history(hardly glorious)
nw, imo, knows they can beat mich,...(if not for a few missed free throws they would have) unlike, say ohio st who simply owns em...
with that said, if mich finds a way to shut down shurna or he simply has a bad game nw wont win ..

Northwestern or nothing. Too much money on Michigan.

Get em Brandon. Defend your school. Though I agree with you. Michigan is a legit top 15 team, but this is a letdown spot so i stayed away from the side and went with the Under. BOL all

Michigan is overrated b/c they aren't as good (IMO) as others think they are. Ranked #11 in the AP?! They are a 5-7 team away from Ann Arbor; hardly anything to get excited about. 4 of the 7 losses are to teams they should have beat if they really were as good as their ranking says. Lunardi has them pegged as a #3 seed right now. Can we really say a team that is not even in the top 300 (not a misprint) in rebounds is a legit #3 seed or deserves a #11 ranking?
Let's take a look at their losses, since that is what was referred to:
You may think Duke is VERY good, I don't. They are good, but not "very" good. Michigan is not better than Duke so they "should" have lost that game anyways.
You may think Indiana is good, I don't. I don't think they are even a top 30 team. In your eyes it sounds like this is a "good" loss or an acceptable loss. It's apparent that Indiana can play with top tier teams, but I just don't feel they are anything special. Not a surprising loss though considering I feel Michigan isn't as good as their ranking suggests.
You may think Virginia is a good team. I like Virginia but feel they are in the same category as Michigan (top 20-30 type of team). Not surprised by the loss b/c I don't think Michigan is a good enough team to win games like that. Definitely not a "good" loss though. Lunardi says Virginia is an 8 seed.
Yes, Arkansas is tough at home this year. Still not a "good" loss in my book if you really are a top tier team. Just ask Florida how tough it was.
Iowa....really?! Do I even need to say anything more? Terrible loss.
Sparty and Ohio State are again, teams that they are not better than and should have lost to. They beat both of them as well, but I'd have to argue that they beat Sparty when they were having a little hiccup in their season. They beat the Bucks when the Bucks have not been performing well either so (IMO) the win looks better than it really is.
Outside of Wiscy (another team that is not as good as others think they are), what other good wins does Michigan have? Memphis or Iowa State? Have they beat anyone besides Sparty and Ohio State that they "shouldn't" have beat based on just who is a better team?
When I add all of these things up, I see a team who is young and talented but does not deserve a #11 ranking or a #3 seed. I have them as a 5-6 seed and a top 25 team, not top 15. Thus, in my opinion, they are not as good as others are making them out to be.
