We do have a 3* CBB GOM going on Tuesday - now that CFB is about over, there's even more time to focus on CBB, and there are only 42 days til pitchers and catchers report - then the Revenge of the Reverse Massacre starts.
If you want to get every pick and all the information/leans on a daily basis in 2017 - here's a reasonable deal. I assure you that whether it's me or someone else, it beats hunting and pecking for the biggest pick every day.
Mississippi State -2 (ML tomorrow) over Alabama: Alabama hasn't won on the road this season. Mississippi State lost a tough one to 'Bama last year, and although they're very young, they're one of those teams that can beat anyone. They'll get their youthful 'cumuppins at some point, but not against an Alabama team that can't shoot FT's and barely beat St. Louis.
WVU/T-Tech: Very hard to fade WVU at the moment, but it's also hard to win two straight road conference games. They played at Oklahoma State on Friday, so they were either "out" for New Years' Eve or have done a lot of travelling. Either one isn't a great thing. The bad news is that if we were to take the Cowboys, the two teams that have beaten them this season are Auburn and Iowa State. Auburn plays up-tempo as does WVU, and ISU was the only other decent team they've played this season. They did lose to WVU twice last season, and will play a style under Beard that WVU hasn't seen yet, so it's tough, but I think the Red Raiders 1H is the play.
Indiana/Wisconsin: Just when you think the Hoosiers are getting it together by beating North Carolina and Kansas, they lose three of five including the Conference opener at home to Nebraska and then getting hammered by L'ville in what was essentially a home game in Indianapolis. They're turning the ball over far too much for me to think this is the right spot to jump on them. The Badgers "are what they are" even under Gard, now in year two and with a very experienced team. Although, they seem to play a bit more inside than in the past, and given Indiana's youth, I'd simply have to take Wisconsin here. The caveat is that the Hoosiers are CAPABLE of beating anyone, and capable of losing to anyone.
Tennessee/Arkansas: We were all over the Vols big last week, and it's tough not to be yet again. It's going to be the public play, since Arkansas has just never been a great (even good) road team, and they haven't got a good win this season. Add to that the fact that they're going to play in Lexington on Saturday. Add to THAT the fact that Arkansas beat them twice last season, and you've got your motivation. I don't LOVE this one simply because it looks to easy, but there is no chance I can back the Hogs. As much as the total will be higher than it probably should be, it's possible that it will go over. Both teams get to the line a ton, the pace will be OK even though UT may try to slow it a bit - I do worry that UT's youth COULD get dragged into running more than they should.
