"UALR beat La-mon 58-57 on 01/09/2016 at the Jack, but the Warhawks have won 5 of their past 6 heading into tonight's game and are 7-0 this season at Fant-Ewing Coliseum."
Chalk Talk: UALR's 21-2 start equals the best start for a sun belt conference team. New Orleans did it in 92-93. The Trojans earned 1 vote in this week's usa today coaches top 25 poll. Ualr is 9-2 on the road this season, but has lost it's past two games at Fant-Ewing and are 6-6 all time in Monroe, LA. UALR beat La-mon 58-57 on 01/09 but the warhawks have been better offensively over their past six games. They've won 5 of their past six while averaging 85.3 ppg during that stretch... the warhawks lead the sun belt with a 45.7 fg % and ualr leads the belt by holding teams to 37%.

Lots of talk about Trojan success and experience, however, the hawks are starting 4 seniors and 1 junior who are equally as good. Trojans are 11-1 in the belt and have a huge game in two days against the rajun Cajun down in laffeyette, which may prove vital for top honors. (fully expect for the Cajun to handle up on state tonight - but spread is too high). Trojans are 11-0 at the Jack, and the game tonight will be the 1st of 4 in a row on the road. UALR is scoring less away from home (66.3ppg vs. 76.2ppg) but roughly holding opponents to similar total (57.0 to 56.1 (road)). UALR shooting % falls from 47% at home to 41.7% on the road. UALR is committing 1 more t/o on the road (11.2) than at home (10.4) & forcing roughly the same (14.8 at home vs. 14.5 on the road).
This is probably going to be a good game tonight with either team having a shot to win against a slim margin. I'm inclined to take the pts. with the home dog exacting revenge against an early tough loss. This one very well could come down to the last possession.
