1-0-1 last night ....Nice schedule on tap tonight ....Here we go !!!
SIDES
1* San Jose -120 .....Battle of the unbeaten on the Island tonight as East meets West in a early show down...Something has to give....I look at this game from a defensive perspective. San Jose has shown the ability to win with Offense and with defense, if it wasn't for allowing 4 of the last 5 goals against the Capitals the other night their dominance so far this season would have continued. On the other hand the Isles have been all run and gun scoring 15 goals in 3 games while allowing 9 ....A little defense goes a long way tonight ....Sharks 4-2 or 5-3
2* Pittsburgh -170....I tweeted this out as an overnight play last night. The new look Pens come into this game looking extremely sharp and I look for this trend to continue tonight..I had a play against the Stars the other night against Columbus , at times they looked very good but 2 things came to mind as I watched the game. In the 2nd period the BJ's played at a much quicker pace and the Stars just couldn't play with them, Columbus dominated the period. the difference in the game was Kari Lehtonen who stopped a break away , a point blank shot from the crease and also had several other notable saves as well. This line opened at -170 last night and quickly plummeted to -150 before seeing it pushed back up to -170 late this morning .Last year the Pens were embarrassed in the Big D 3-0 and then came home to crush Dallas 5-1 at home....Pens will not take this game lightly and unless Kari stands on his head again tonight it's just gonna be wishing on the falling Stars.Loser
2* Montreal -120...3 things come to mind with this play tonight....Montreal finally gets home after a 4 game road trip to start the season. 2nd they come off a humiliating loss of 7-1 to the Lightning after starting the season with 3 straight wins. Finally The Bruins come off a physical emotional OT-Shootout game against Detroit last night and will now play it's 3rd game in 4 nights. While Montreal has had 3 days rest and time to be pissed off about that ass whippin in Tampa the other night...Habs in a low scoring affair 3-1
TOTALS
1* SJ/NYI over 5.5 -115......numbers say different as 7 of the L9 on the Island have played to the under, however the Islanders are all up tempo this year and I expect more of the same tonight as stated in the above post on the same game.Winner
2* NJ/WSH under 5 +125.....The Devils are for real and they are back to playing Devil hockey of the past, solid D...Until this trend starts to change it's ride the under. Loser
2* COL/OTT under 5.5 -120....This was very close to a 3* as the Avs and Sens have combined to go 7 of 7 to the under so far this season...Colorado has had trouble finding the net with only 4 tallies in 4 games.Ottawa has scored 6 in their 3 games...The Sens D has also been stellar allowing only 5 goals in the same 3 games. With Colorado playing their 3rd game in 4 nights and Ottawa having their home opener I have a heavy lean on The Sens tonight as well @ a value line of -105.
2* STL/LA under 5 -105....With The Blues coming into this game with 5 days rest they should be ready for a tough physical match with the Kings....Meanwhile LA has gotten their shit together while pounding the 2 doormats of the west WIN & EDM....This should have allowed them to tune up for a real game tonight with St.Louis.....2-1 or 3-1 Kings
LEANS: OTTAWA -105...BST/MTL UNDER 5 +105...DAL/PIT OVER 6 +100
AS ALWAYS GOOD LUCK !!!!
