I am a documented 1-6 for a -4.5 units during the playoffs with a current losing streak of 6 in a row. Am I proud of this? No, not really. However, I am an optimist who believes that every dark cloud does have a silver lining. I also believe that a negative can be turned into a positive. This is why I will continue to select games as I normally would, without changing how I approach them or the angles that I look at. I would, however, recommend that you fade these plays as I try to keep this streak going and at the same time reversing the curse if you will. So send me a WOL shout out and lets get this money.
Recommendation: Columbus Blue Jackets+118
Only 1 game on tap tonight for me and thats Pitt@cbj Gm 4 Pitt leads the series 2-1. Game 4 will be held at Nation wide arena in Columbus. This arena is often referred to as the Penguins home away from home as there are many pittsburgh fans in Ohio due to the fact that there was no Nhl team to root for in Columbus before the Blue Jackets arrived in 2000. In addition, due to the close proximity of Ohio and Pennsylvania many Penguin fans make the trip to nationwide to cheer for their team. When these two teams meet in Columbus the Pittsburgh fans always outnumber the Blue Jacket fans. In order to counter this, when the playoffs started Bluejacket management limited ticket sales to only those who had Ohio addresses for the first four days. and it seemed to work, as the Blue Jacket fans outnumbered the Pens fans On Monday night! One byproduct of this overwhelmingly pro Jacket crowd was the level of emotion it generated. Columbus held a 2 goal lead in the 3rd period before giving up 3 straight goals to pitt to end up losing 4-3. 'The emotion at times kind of derailed us,' coach Todd Richards said. 'What I mean by that is just our thinking out on the ice. We got caught up in the moment at times, myself included, and it sidetracks your game.' Richards went on to state that they will address the issue and be ready for game 4. Columbus dominated the game before getting caught up into the emotion of winning their first home playoff game. However, there was still a game to play and pittsburgh steady and surely seized the opportunity and took it from them. I believe it will be a pro Jacket crowd again tonight and that columbus will check their emotions and play the game they have proven they can play. I like the value as a home dog, adding to the fact that The Pens are 5-7 in their last 12 road playoff games. These factors will lead Columbus to their first ever home playoff victory!
