Florida Panthers +150
Colorado lost to the Minnesota twice to open the season, getting outscored 8-0, they then beat an underachieving Boston team, followed by 3 losses to TOR, OTT, and MON. This team has allowed 20 goals in 6 games, ranks 27th in Corsi% (5 on 5, Close), and has a differential of -11 goals the 3rd worst mark in the league. All this and all of a sudden they’re listed as a heavy favorite here? Florida only has 1 win on the season as well but they lost in overtime @ TB, to NJ (5-1 their only bad loss), to OTT by 1, and @ WAS in a shoot-out. All of these are above average teams and Florida held their own pretty much. Their issues has been goal-scoring, as they only have 5 goals through 5 games. Of course with a Corsi% of 51.3% (ranked 13th) I don’t expect their 2.6% Shot% to last as it has nowhere to go but up. Why not against a Colorado team that has allowed 3+ goals in 5 of their 6 games so far and is starting Reto Berra, a goalie whose career Sv% is 89.6% in 34 games? I’ll take a shot at these odds.
Good Luck
