In the midst of a well deserved break during which I am recharging my sports betting batteries while pursuing other interests I decided to check in with the forums and now I feel like I need to clear a few things up. First, I am not Vegas Runner. This particular conspiracy theory is so absurd on its face that it needs no explanation. Second, I am not Sour. A while back Sour was asking how he could change his user name and I responded by telling him he needed to contact an administrator. When doing so he used my name, mentioning that I had referred him. This apparently created some confusion and led some to believe we were the same person, though a more careful reading of Sour's correspondence clearly shows we are not. I pride myself on helping other forum members with problems and given the chance I'd do it all over again despite the fact it has caused a bit of a mess. Third, I am not Sleepy J. Sleepy J recently posted a write-up that was stylistically similar to my work product that revolved around my favorite football team, the New York Jets. This, combined with the fact he was made the first community capper, led some to believe we are the same person. We are not. I am flattered that Sleepy J's recent post incorporated elements of my style. I work hard on my write-ups and it's nice to see they influence other members. Sleepy's content was 100% his own and I wish him all the best.
I'd be remiss if I didn't also take a moment to comment on the changes that have taken place at Pregame. To everyone who has left, be it forum members or pros, I wish you all the best. You helped make the Pregame forums the premiere destination to come and talk sports betting. I thoroughly enjoyed our time together and If we ever butted heads trust me when I say it was all coming from a good place.
I think the Community Capper program is a terrific idea however at this time I have no interest in becoming a part of it. One of the reasons I have developed such a following on this site is my passion. You can't fake passion and I'm just not as passionate about baseball and the WNBA as I am about college football and college basketball. I wouldn't feel right if people were paying for something I wasn't passionate about producing. Once the summer is over I may reconsider the issue but I can't make any promises.
The same intensity that fuels my legendary write-ups is also sometimes responsible for my disappearances for weeks or months at a time with no notice. To my friends here who feel let down, I am sorry. I am not a perfect person. Just know that I love you guys.
Have a great summer everyone. The future is bright for Pregame!
