  • I was wondering if you guys still want me to post up my selections and profiles from the previous day in the forum?  I know some people said they liked it but am wondering if that's still the case?  I also used the thread to post all of my free plays and promo type stuff.  Despite what a few people said, my free plays are always one of my premium selections, so they the aren't just some half ass play that I throw up there.

  •  I feel the same way as far as the free selections. In my view it would be very poor from a business standpoint in that there are countless lurkers who come around the site. They might be hesitant to purchase a selection or package and want to test the waters so to speak by closely observing how a particular capper does with his free releases.

That being the case I always put a play out on the forum that is one of my premium selections far more often than not. It's like most anything in life in that first or early impressions are of paramount importance.

It just does not make any sense to me to throw out a token freebie and also another reason and I realize some will be skeptical of this statement but it's just the way I see things. I like and enjoy most of the forum members and honestly find it gratifying to help others win money.

Just my two cents on the deal!Yes

  • Hey thanks for the comments Spartan.  Yeah I feel the same way.  My feeling with all of this discussion in the posting forum about the increase in touting is this.  Yes it does seem like there is a decent amount of it...but the non-pros don't seem to post an extraordinary amount of information in addition to selections.  So I dunno...if a pro capper puts alot of little comments here and there that are informative, as well as post good articles, then he can promote his stuff if he wants.

Regardless I think the posting forum is pretty cool especially when people get in "animated" discussions when they disagree on something.

And the whole Stew/Apathy blowout was pretty funny too...

  • The freebies I give out are not premium plays, but they are also NOT "token freebies."  I'm basically a 1-play-a-day guy, so I can't give out that play for free.  If I were a higher volume guy, then it would make much more sense for me to release a free premium pick every day.  But make no mistake about it, my freebies are still games I'm betting, although to a lesser degree.  And I track these freebies on my Excel spreadsheet just as I do my premium plays.

I just get a bit irritated when I hear someone refer to non-premium freebies as anything less than a quality pick because I do not EVER throw out a pick in the forum just for the sake of doing so.  After all, what the hell is a 1-play-a-day guy like me supposed to do?

    DAILY REMINDERS

#1: Please use proper money management.  Whether you flat bet my plays or play them according to the Unit ratings, PLEASE bet within your means.

#2: Unless otherwise stated, my daily card is FINAL at 6 p.m. Eastern Monday through Friday and Noon Eastern on Saturdays and Sundays.

#3: PLEASE take a moment to tell your loved ones that you love them.  Take a moment to kiss your spouse/significant other, hug your children, call your parents, etc.  Those things are so much more important than betting on any sporting event, and you never know when it will be the last time you see them.

  • yeah that's true Dwayne...it really limits what you can do with the free plays.

  • I think it's neat when everyone can see what your plays were from the previous day.  Folks can read your insight after the fact, maybe learn a bit about how you/other pros are doing their capping.  Just my thought - think it's a cool idea!
