Yesterday: Getting to Know Pregame: How Did You Find Pregame?

On 6/21/2006 I made the VERY first post EVER at Pregame.com. Before Pregame, I had my own site where many of the users came from which means some of the community actually pre-dates 2006! That being said, being a community we should all get to know each other a little better. Each day I will post something asking a general question. It will never get too personal and no one is obligated to answer. But after 5+ years of us babbling back and forth, why not take the next step in this relationship :)

I will start off:

Outside of delivering papers, first paycheck job was washing dishes at Blazo's Restaurant and Pie Shop on Wayne Road in Westland, MI. Now the Village Coney Island (or Blue Roof as people nicknamed it). At Blazos is actually where I became interested in sports betting. The cook was an old guy (Andy, RIP) who hustled parlay cards. Played my first one for a $1 and was HOOKED. Now I am making a post on Pregame.com.

I hear the baling hay, Spartan. Family has a 900 acre farm 120 miles north of Toronto....hard, hot work. It was a working farm back in the 60`s...not so much now.

My first real job was in the trap at a skeet shooting range. Gotta be quick. Had my hand `tapped`a couple of times by the throwing arm. No daydreaming, which seems to be about all we did at twelve.

Turns a boy into a man!  Worked on a farm from 13 until I started dental school at 24. Magically, we switch to round bails the year I "retired"?  I wish I could have my physique back!

Always wondered what those round bales weigh.....1000 lbs or so (about 25 bales)

Also seeing those huge rectangular ones now. Must weigh about the same

First Job. Normal no job!

In 1963, I was 12 years old and delivered 180 "Newark Evening News"

weekdays from a bicycle. On Sundays I delivered papers (in arms from corner to corner)

while a driver sipped a brew and waited for me. Really sucked trugging through

fresh, undisturbed snow waist high, but I made $90 tax free every 2 weeks.

I was paid cash just stuck in my bundle, amazing i never got ripped off.

How can I be " all washed up" if I'm so damn dirty?
