Gents:

If you love this show on History Channel (I love it) - Swamp People - I interviewed Troy Landry this week for the show.  I host The American Outdoorsman Radio Show.  I am an avid hunter / outdoorsy type guy in my spare time (what little of it there is)....and a buddy of mione owns this radio and TV show..I do the radio weekly in national markets and some TV hunts...

Not a hunting and fishing show as much as a show for guys who like the outdoors, kinda a mancave type show.  I have had Jim Kelly. Trent Cole, Jared Allen, and numerous famous guys on the show who like to hunt, talk sports, babes, food, booze, just about anything mancave type stuff...  Had Jim Kelly on to talk aboutt he AFC / NFC Championships and ect....its a fun show for dudes who like to fish and hunt...One of those "Real Men" type deals

Give it a listen on iTunes - This guy is a hoot....just thought I would throw that out there for my forum friends...

Yea, Troy is a trip...Some of his people are regular customers of mine, but they are more into fighting roosters than aligators.  Some of that stuff they do is for the camera, but they are some Gator catching fools! Ole Junior and his son are from around my way as well...You need to go Gator hunting Tony, you'd have a good time

He invited me to come down and go on a Sunday when they are not filming....I will be taking him up on that..I love Louisiana and go there often, I have a good buddy who lives in Baton Rouge...great people and great part of the country.

If I had to do it all over again, I would have moved to the deep south years ago, my family is originally from Biloxi on my mothers side,  laid back lifestyle, no one in a hurry, cocktails for lunch...gotta love it..not to mention the food!!  Awesome food!  Love me some blackend fish and cheese grits!

The only reason is the SEC!!!  Got to stay in Big 12 country and close to Memorial Stadium so I can see my Huskers!!!  LOL

Come on down Tony! I live about 20 min from where he hunts (Thibodaux) .. I've been good friends with one of his sons, Chase, for a good while now.

You should've scheduled a trip for this weekend, with it being Mardi Gras and all... lol

LOL....Ate Gator last night on the show, we fixed it two ways...Sauted and fried..I liked the sauted better...Good stuff.  Consistency of chicken, tasted like a cross between catfish and chicken but not overwelhming on the fishy side either....I liked it....but I am a carnivour and love my meat!!

I like Deer (marinated properly), Elk steaks are off the map, Mallard Duck, rabbit, crappie filets, trout, walleye is one of my favs. (having wild caught trout fish fry tonight with some buddies)...but of course Beef rules.

In any event if I get down that way DA_MOSS I will let ya know...I talked to him about 15 minutes off the air, just the genuine article....good people.
