Informing & entertaining while helping each other improve our odds is the purpose of PregameForums.com
Below are details on a few next generation tools that will help us do that.
Remember: Your efforts will help others, and their efforts will help you!
Rating a post:
Look at the top of this post (dark bar), and notice the 5 stars to the far right . . . This "Rate a Post" feature allows you to mouse over the stars and click the number you think the post deserves. So if you think a post deserves only 1 star, you mouse over the first star and click to vote; same thing if you think the post is worth 5 stars . . . after you click to vote, the stars will blink - a sign that your vote has been counted. Keep in mind that each post within a thread is rated separately - which means you can rate the initial post, and/or any replies.
How does rating a post help? Your rating will help others find posts that are really good (or avoid those that are really bad). Plus, you get ONE Forum Point for each and every post that you rate! The poster gets ONE point for each rating star his post receives.
Marking posts and posters as FAVORITES:
Look at the top of this post (2nd light gray bar) and you'll see Favorites . . . clicking it allows you to select a post or a poster as your personal favorite. What does this mean? First, a selected fav post earns TEN points for the poster, while being selected as a fav poster earns FIFTY points for that poster.
You, for selecting a favorite, can now at any time go into your profile (by clicking My Profile in the top right tool box or by clicking your name inside of any post) and see a handy list of your favorite posts and posters. Those browsing your profile are able to see your favs, which will help people more quickly discover the most valuable posts and posters.
The effort you make to try out these new features will help your fellow forum members, and their efforts will help you.
