No post yesterday and today will be brief.
Some talk this morning regarding the HBO show Hard Knocks. This season the show is featuring the Rams. It is, in my opinion, a good show. Entertaining. It does take you behind closed doors to see what can go on and to get to know some of the players on a personal level. To see their human side away from just the game. It's interesting to see how a coaching staff takes a team from those first raw practices and mold, and cut things down into the best possible team they can field. At every camp across the country every team is going through that same process. All with high expectations. It takes some special tolerance from coaches to let a camera crew come in and get that kind of access to their camps. I know the Packers have been approached by HBO on several occasions to be the featured team but have declined at every turn. It can be invasive. But got to admit, it makes for some entertaining TV.
Somber mood the last couple of days within our group of friends. Sometimes the things we discuss on a daily basis gets slapped down hard. Other things occur that make sports and politics seem trivial. One of our long time teammates and friends unexpectedly lost his young daughter. A beautiful young lady with a bright future and just like that, all gone. As friends we are of course there for them. But nothing is enough, it is a helpless feeling. Just don't take anyone for granted guys.
Good luck with your action tonight.
