It may be that people are fed up with established politics but they are not as fukkin dumb (as many are making them out to be in the political threads I've been following (here and elsewhere). IMO- they are also very, very likely to follow established ways of thinking and decision making (habits).
Just for fun - Let's see who might be able to relate to this analogy:
Many are saying we need something different and that a "business man's perspective" such as Trump's would be what will save America. O.K.- I can see how they might hold that opinion. Now- say you as someone seeking the top job in Donald Trump's business and industry goes in and interviews for that top job with the Trump organization. What is likely to happen when they check you credentials and see that you have NEVER had a job in their industry? If they are being polite, they won't laugh you out the door and they may even sweet talk you a little about how great it was to meet you and thank you for considering their business in your job search. They will then show you the door- just like they usually do in ALL industries?
Now, that form of thinking typically applies to all who seek work and opportunity in any industry or job you might consider. How is it that it will work that way for the vast sea of humanity who will be electing the next president but that thinking would not apply to Donald Trump?
If filling jobs work like that for you and me- how does it not work that way for Donald Trump? He's applying for the top job in the land and voters are just going to overlook his complete lack of experience in the political realm? Voters here may be unsophisticated and even stupid in many cases but they are not that fukkin stupid. They also are creatures of habit and typically fall back on decision making that is commonplace and conditioned. That is how voters will make their decision when it comes down to filling the top job in this next election (IMO). Please keep these ideas in mind and "throw emotion completely out of the equation" when you place your bet on the likely outcome in the next election.
