I would be remiss without sending salutations to the Golden State Warriors and their most recent accomplishment. 73-9, are you kidding me? Forget all the talk about how it's a different game. I acknowledge that the rules have changed as they have in all major sports. Teams can only deal with current obstacles.
I'll never forget the Lakers winning 33 in a row on their way to a 69-13 season back in1972. They beat the Knicks in 5 for their first World Championship since the team re located from Minneapolis, I thought that record would last forever.
Like all records, they have been made only to be broken. When the Bulls won 72 I was shell shocked. Records are made to be broken. Congratulations to the Warriors! They more than deserve it.
I recall the MAGIC of show time when 5 NBA titles came the Laker's way. The question back then was not whether they would win the NBA championship but rather would they lose ONE game?
The Warriors present the same question. I'm all in on the Warriors because I love what they bring to the court, how can you not?
