Couple of items of interest today. It was on this date back in 1969 that the first MLB game was played in Canada. The Montreal Expos. They played at an old place called Jarry Park. The place was rather a dump that served the purpose until the club moved into Olympic stadium. I can remember as a kid having an Expos cap, it was just something different. The other expansion clubs that year were the Kansas City Royals, San Diego Padres and Seattle Pilots. I still have a 1969 Seattle Pilots yearbook. Kind of a neat thing because they were only there for the one season. Relocating to Milwaukee. Also on this date in 2002 Tiger Woods became only the 3rd golfer to win back to back Masters titles. Hard to imagine that was 13 years ago. Scary isn't it?
Okay, a free winner. A little on the chalky side but I do like the Jays at home tonight against the Rays. It is right around that line I don't generally cross. I look for the Jays offense to wake back up after the slumber in last nights 2-1 loss to the Rays. There are some trends that support the cause but to be candid I don't think they are all that relevant to tonight's game. The Jays tend to do well when taking the field as the home favorite. I say the Blue Jays cash the ticket.
On the business side I have no featured release in play tonight. We did cash easily with another Triple Star on monday with the Royals crushing the Twins. Wish they were all so easy. Thus far in the young season we are in the plus side of the ledger with baseball. I wish we could fire on a big triple every night but that's tough guys. If I don't think a play merits it I simply refuse to push it. I want folks to know when I market a Triple it is in fact exactly that, not a lesser play I am pushing. That is important to me. I will also openly admit the NBA had been a mess for me that last week. Bad beats or not, nobody gives a damn. A lot of sick losses but in the end losses. Just a horrid streak. I split last night with the Nets baring their asses for the world to see but cashing with the Jazz over the Mavericks. I am more than ready to buckle down and get busy with the playoffs. I've made money in the past and hit on 63% of the Rabid Dogs and Triples the last couple of seasons in the playoffs. I fully expect to go on a major roll the next couple of months with the post season. NBA playoff action until june. I love it. All the mail it in performances cease when these game commence. Teams start paying some real attention on the defensive end. It is a new game.
Okay, that is it for now. Thanks and best of luck with your action guys.
