"KING OF THE HILL" Week of Mar 16-22

Format: 3 Man or Woman teams...Need Name of Team, Members of team, along with the team capitan.

Number of Rounds will be determined by number of teams that sign up. Ulitmately we will crown a King of the Hill of forum.


Rules of The competition:KING OF THE HILL RULES

1. NO MONEY LINES GREATER THAN -130 / NO RUN LINES ALLOWED / FULL GAMES ONLY.

2. UNDERDOGS CAN BE USED.

3. TOTALS ARE ALLOWED, NO TOTAL LINES HIGHER THAN -130

4. IF YOU EDIT A POST IT'S COUNTED AS A LOSS.

5. YOU CANNOT PLAY THE SAME GAME, FIRST PERSON TO PLAY IT GETS IT.

6. USE THE LINES POSTED GAME DAY AT A SPONSORED PREGAME BOOK AND STATE THE BOOK WITH PLAY.

7. THE WEEK IS FROM TUESDAY THRU MONDAY.

8. IF YOUR TEAM MATE DOESN'T PICK ALL 3 GAMES IN A WEEK YOU FORFEIT THAT ROUND.

9. SUBSTITUTE PLAYERS ARE ALLOWED FOR THE WEEK AS LONG AS THEY ARE NOT FROM ANOTHER TEAM, YOU MUST FIND SOMEONE NEW.

10. PLAYERS ON THE SAME TEAM MAY NOT PICK THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE SAME GAME.

11. ALLOWABLE SPORTS: MLB BASEBALL - NCAA FOOTBALL - NFL FOOTBALL - NBA BASKETBALL - NCAA BASKETBALL - NHL HOCKEY - ATP TENNIS - PGA GOLF - EURO SOCCER

12. IF A TEAM MATE IS UNABLE TO MAKE A PICK, ILLNESS, EMERGENCY, OUT OF TOWN, ETC. THE TEAM CAPTAIN WILL MAKE THE PICK FOR HIM

SCORING WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:

1 WIN = 1 POINT

1 PUSH = 1/2 POINT

1 LOSS = 0 POINTS

IN THE EVENT OF A TIE THE TEAM CAPTAINS WILL FACE OFF IN OT: BY SELECTING 2 SELECTIONS

 Giraffe's First Pick:

Vcu -2.5 vs. George Washington(bookmaker) 3/16/10 7pm est

Vcu finished 22-9 on the season and played well in the CAA tourney but fell to a very good Old Dominion team by 4.  As for GW, they finished the season 16-14 and lost in the first round of their tournament to Dayton by double digits. Vcu is a high powered offense averaging around 75 ppg led by the beast Larry Sanders and this team is coached by Shaka Smart who is in his first year. What an impressive year for a first year coach. As for GW, they average around 70 pts a game and are not a great shooting team.

In conclusion, even though GW is at home for this matchup, they havent been really dominant there and VCU has some nice wins on the road this year, I predict VCU wins this is a rather high scoring event VCU 78-72
