This movie was the coolest shit ever when I was kid:Pontiac will be taken over by the Chinese Army in the latest remake of the 1984 movie �Red Dawn.�Caged and enraged, residents of the city will rise up and take back their town in an attempt to fight back against a repressive regime.�They will be here for two weeks at the end of September,� said Pontiac Downtown Development Authority Director Sandy McDonald. �They will shoot for three days and come back for a few days in October.�Most of the time, the crews will be working on transforming the area along Saginaw Street, just north of Huron, into a movie set depicting Spokane, Wash.�Red Dawn� publicist Peter Silbermann said the movie should be a boon for Pontiac businesses.�The director and the production designer thought Pontiac would be absolutely wonderful for the movie,� said Silbermann. The director of the film is Dan Bradley. �He did the �Bourne� series and �Indiana Jones,� � said Silbermann. �Red Dawn� is being produced by MGM Studios.
