Beyond the ghosting (which lead to a lifetime ban) I am very proud of this thread.
A poster felt like something was wrong . . . it was posted . . . instead of being hidden, it was addressed publicly.
No one should be upset about the original post . . . if we attempted to moderate perceived issues, the community could rightly wonder if something is being hidden . . . but what the Pregame.com community knows is NOTHING is hidden . . . rather every possible issue is addressed publicly. That fact drives the unmatched trust we have earned.
Dave Essler just called me to share his frustration with the fact that putting in extra work to discuss his card before making it final to clients is being viewed as a negative. The policy and stance I have (being the one who runs Pregame Pros) is simple.
Dave Essler and Goodfella are publicly-known collaborators when it comes to sharing insight and handicapping theory. There is no hidden agenda or anything nefarious occurring. In the event individuals are known to collaborate in regards to handicapping, I would expect 50% or less of their card having equally agreed upon games. This is not only reasonable, but a bonus to clients to be getting a game that is also agreed upon by another respected Pregame Pro.For other Pregame Pros that are not collaborating publicly there will never be more than the expected randomness of certain games matching up on any given day. In the event of those with similar handicapping styles (contrarian vs. public, home underdogs, etc) you could probably expect a natural overlap when those situations arise. In the event anything outside of the guidelines above happens, feel free to contact me personally at johnny@pregame.com or feel to post in the Official Reporting Thread: Pick Promotion Questions thread.
Ah, but it gets better. We have the same 3* today and because I was gone all day (and played it last night, actually) there was ZERO discussion between us on that one. First email I opened when I got back at 3:30 my time was from GF about his 3* play. Last email I sent him before I left this AM was "you'll pick the same game, I know you will". Sure enough. So, tomorrow you can speculate more, but I am not changing I do as long as it is working, nor letting this distract me like it did last year. Just not. If I have to vacate the forums for a while to do it, I will.
Don't know why anyone would/could possibly think that you 2 collaborating about the games is a bad thing, I actually prefer it.
sharp/square is a trouble maker, we all know it, don't let him get to you. With as much trolling as he does, I am actually very supprised that he just figured this out, it was no secret.

I agree with your sentiments RJ, but if a "banned" poster makes the query does it really even exist?
Good luck gentlemen. Lol. Banned for life! Adiós muchacho
