In high profile games, when they (ESPN) seems to spend an disproportionate amount of time discussing anything about one of the teams, that team tanks. I don't keeps stats on this but it's something I've noticed over the years & keep in mind when I place my bet or make a last minute wager.
They are touting Memphis & Calipari like he's the 2nd coming of Christ.
It's like this: the bookies drive Caddys for a reason. I watch ESPN & when they blow the horn, in favor of 1 team more than I feel is necessary, over the other team, I know somethings up. I bet the other way.
Check this out=> SuperBowl: They kept going on about the Patriots this, the Patriots that. They ran a goddam special about Randy Moss. I thought I had the Biography Channel on!
Lang is on Memphis; the public's on Memphis, Espn's on Memphis.
I've written about this several times now & it's panned out every time!
I may be wrong , but....
By the way, I just tuned in to ESPN; it Sounded like ESPN is touting the Cardinals tonight.
*** They were noticeably quiet last night before the Yankees Final Season Home Game vs The Baltimore Orioles; they gave no opinion on the game Yankees win easily
*** They spend 45 minutes on Favre before MNF NYJ vs SDC Chargers destroy Jets
Anyone have an opinion?

MNF Jets vs Chargers: They spent 45 minutes on Brett Favre before the game. San Diego blows out the Jets.

Unfortunately, I won't be at home before the game's start to probably hear ESPN go on & on about USC and do a "Bio" on Pete Carroll.

You should have heard ESPN radio around 1/2 hour before the early games went off (11:30 am here). They were interviewing UTAH ST's coach. And the guy didn't sound too thrilled . It sounded like he had an ordinary team that just happens to win games by the skin of their teeth. The 2 broadcasters, in typical ESPN Factor in betting High Profile game, The ESPN Factor, were going on & on about this team. The only thing that bothers me about going against Utah State is that "SteveBeav" is on them.
Here's a blast from the past.
