Great question! At the bottom of each thread there is a link that allows you to subscribe or unsubscribe to emails from "this" thread. If you make a post to a thread that you do not wish to receive email alerts on, simply go to the bottom of the thread and click the "email unsubscribe to replies from this forum thread" link. Hope this helps.
