Johnny,  we are a nation of immigrants and it only makes us stronger and always has.  I also think it is great for folks to take pride in their native heritages and hold onto them in their newly adopted country - the USA.  Instead of being the great melting pot, we are now The Great Salad Bowl with rich diversity defining our country.  Read "The Circuit" by Francisco Jimenez. The story starts out with a little boy crawling under a fence to enter the USA with his family and tells of his experiences growing up, going to school knowing no English.  But he works very hard, and today he is the head of the English literature department at Santa Clara University.  Another nation (Mexico) having repressive laws should not influence our nation to be similarly cold hearted.

It's sad and annoying for me when I see people sneaking across the border,usually at night,to gain entry into this country illegitimately.

I'm sure most of the tresspassers want to find a job;however,the predominant number of them are most likely aware that they will be in violation of U.S. laws upon entering which precludes me from being sad about their action(s) like I am for their living situation they aim to improve.

I would feel the same way if European caucasians were infiltrating the U.S. across the Canadian border. In fact,I might be more vociferous due to the fact that there would probably be less accusations of racism being a factor,if any at all.

We can't even adequately provide jobs / necessities for all the legal folks already here...

There's a fair and legal process for citizenship. OBEY IT  !
