My brother-in-law was a runner for a local guy, so at the age of 11 I was betting $1.00 4 team parleys on NFL games.It took 11 weeks before my first winner but I was hooked.Also had an aunt who took me to the racetrack at 13 to learn all about the horses.

i swear. think most people prior to the internet got hooked via parlay cards. the infamous hitting 3 of 4 every week.

I was about 15 when I made my first bet (prior to that, it had just been shooting dice & flipping quarters at school) at one of the local bookie joints downtown, owned by a friends dad.  I was betting on the Detroit Pistons in the NBA Championship for $22 to win $20 and going to a local restraunt not far from there that did not mine serving us alcohol even though we were underage.  Beer, raw Oysters, & NBA Championship is his how Griff first got started betting. From there $22 was my average bet on a game.  I was doing a lot of illegal shit then and making big money from it.  $20 doller bets on TV were just for shits  & giggles.  I did not research games or anything of that manner really......around the age of 19 or 20 I was indicted on multiple cocaine sale's charges (did not really care for doing Powder, I was just selling the shit out of it while I was in college, amongst other things).  They really wanted Griff to set a few people up and they'd drop the charges, but I was not down with that bullshit.  Before I went to Prison, my brother law and I went out to Vegas for my 21'st birthday, where i leaned about betting sports in Vegas.  The Wynn was my favorite sports place, in the back where they do the horse racing(they'd just built the Wynn then if recall correctly)....shortly after that I begin a 5 year sentence with MDOC.... When I was ib the County Jail (waiting to be sent off to Rankin, the central processing unit of MDOC) i started betting packs of Ramen Noodles(which was the commune jailhouse currency) with guys on the zone in Women Basketball.  I was riding the shit out of the lady Vol's and reaping the benefits of extra Coffee and Noodles haha.....after I was processed at Ranking Co. I was suppose to be sent to a Satiellite where I'd work as a trustee,

( for every 30 days i worked, i got 40 days taken off my sentence)but they fucked around a sent me to a maximum security prison in Marshal County where they wanted me to teach GED.  After a couple of months in that shithole, I finally got sent to a Satellite(facility that only holds all trustees), where I worked for the head County Supervisor everyday in NE Ms, in Corrinth Ms....I was making all kind of money on the side scrapping metal & before long had stacked me up about $450 dollers(you were only permitted to have $20 at a time, in bills no larger than $5....that was the year LSU won a National Championship, and they opened up with Ms. State to kick the season off...thinking I'm a pretty smart fellas I announced to the zone that I'd give anyone 17 points that wanted to back Ms. State.  People Jumped all over that shit and I won $84 that night (big hit in prison money) that's when I learned about running quarter boards where you have a 100 slots with number combos for tv games. For 25 cents you could put your initials on the board and then we's draw cards to set the numbers On te boards.  If you had a 4,3 and the final score was14,13 at the end of the quarter, that person would win $5 off 25cents....This is where my fondness & education in NASCAR began.  We'd take the top 26 drivers and put em in a hat. $1 a draw for a car and the guy running the NASCAR board got the 26th car left in the hat...,The first two weeks I did this I won with Biffle & Bowyer the next week and all kind of people pissed that had been playing all year and never won....,Anyways I was making bets on TV game for $1 to the rare $20 just about every night a game was on TV with other guys, most of the times the bets were straight up with no points involved......anyways, once I found out I was going home, they sent me Issaquena out in the Delta, where they have some kind off bullshit prerelease class they make people take for 9 weeks (pretty much so on paper it looks like MDOC had prepared some of these guys that were institutionalized for the real world).....Let me tell you about this place, it was a small facility with a prison population of about 400 and I got there right before CFB season kicked off...on the Commisary sheets where you order food,coffee,soap,ECT. They had spreads on the NFL & NCAA football that you could bet! The catch was you had to make a 4-Team or better parlay and the money came off of your books.  If you hit on your parlay, they'd send the money to your home address!  Anyways Iwas about to go home, so I did not have my ass on that shit! Anyways, once I got of prison; I went back to school and kept my life on the straight and narrow, besides betting sports....I figured sports betting should be the only illicit activity I should do & have since been betting it more seriously.... I forgot how I found PG, but have since been here & have decided that sports betting would be my only illicit activity to GET MONEY!!!!!! (really GET MONEY, is a term we'd use when working out, pushups,Benchpress,sit ups,ECT)

I've really thought about seeing if y'all wanf to run a numbers board at PG in football or baskeball or a NASCAR board at PG, in regards to when y'all want to do contest/drawings

Football “spot-sheets” (called parlay cards these days in Vegas) were everywhere back in Ohio where I grew up – and I clearly remember being 14 years old and betting my first one: $20 to win $200 on a four-teamer (ties lose!). I won, and was paid off with a bank envelope containing 10 twenty-dollar bills. Each week I bet one $20 four-teamer after that – till the envelope was empty.

That's me because i started playing parlay sheets when i was 17 in 1974.Messed around and hit a 4 teamer and it was on from there because a year later i was the carrier and made me a little money plus got to play 15.00 worth for free.  lol  those were the days
