I think it is also important to keep in mind PG started as a site where people posted their picks & should remain so with or with out content, but I definitely have your feelings on one to two word post.....It's a lot nicer to have some reasoning even if it's just a sentence or a couple of phrases on why u like the bet.....

Hmm good idea Griff.  That definitely makes sense.  My only concern with it would be the small number of DOBs in relation to the total people coming to the site daily.  But it could definitely work or at least be the starting point.

DOB's need some purpose besides a title, besides the masses are not always as tuned in to who's info is legit & who's not compared to a DOB member who's spent way more hours at PG reading good and bad post

Ace you post picks many times without writeups and you dont use the picks section other then 3 times early on, sounds hypocritical to me.  My suggestion is to stop trying to regualte how, where and what everyone posts.  Last night one of our new guys who seems to be the table captain of this particular thing im speaking of belittled a well respected poster for posting info that turned out to not matter at all to the game result but was something that was very much of value info that could have been used for making a decision.

Both of yall are right & neither are wrong......NL i think Ace is trying to promote more in depth content at PG, but on the flip side a lot of the most popular and winning posters only post their picks with no rhyme or reason......It's a slippery slope, which is why i think things should remain the way they are, unless a feature was added where one could just list the Post worth reading, but not degrade it.....Nothing would be benificial about giving someone a bad grade for a post, because that could be a deterrent to future post from the same or future posters.....IMO

NL, I mentioned earlier in so many words that I ought to practice what I preach ("I know in the past I have got into the routine of just posting plays which even I admit is pretty pointless") so yes it's a bit hypocritical for me to be the one with the suggestion.  I also don't use the pick section because of the lines/sports available which will almost always be an inherent issue associated with it.  

I'm not following what you mean/who you're talking about with regards to someone belittling someone else. I assume in a different post so I can't really comment on that part.  Though I'd be interested to have a link to look at it.

I agree Griff, and respect both yours and No Limits opinion, as you guys have been here years longer then I.  I recall the star system in the upper right corner which was pretty cool so maybe something as simple as that being brought back would help.
