From everything I've heard on Howard Stern's Sirius show, Sanjaya is destined to win. This season is turning into a huge joke where the whole voting system will turn a no-talent teenager into a millionaire. They're even saying if he doesn't win, he's still worth more than $10 million, which is absolutely unreal. Only in America!
As far as betting goes, I think there is great value at Bodog voting that the winner will be UNDER 24 years old at +375. With that bet, you get both Sanjaya and Jordin Sparks, who has been the best contestant the last few weeks. Each is 2/1, tied for second behind favorite Melinda Doolittle at 3/4.
There is great value there at +375 for the winner to be under 24 years old.....but I believe its a sucker bet. But lets be a little bit realistic.......Sanjaya is getting a big vote from a lot of different avenues. As the competition winds down, maybe to the final four I will say, I believe that the true American Idol fans will get it right and not allow Sanjaya to win Idol and ruin the show forever.
That being said, the final four WILL be Sanjaya, Jordin, Melinda and Blake.
Then the show will get interesting from there.
Lets remember who does most of the voting..........WOMEN, and young ones at that. Blake has the best stage presence of the bunch, he is also the most versitile and has that entertaining beatbox thing going on.
Now I'm not going to be politically correct..........I'm sorry in advance. Doolittle has a great voice and really can sing, but she is not attractive and has no neck. She could pass for a midget and I don't think she will get the votes. Jordin.......pretty girl but she is very big........I'm not going to call her amazon, but she towers over Ryan.........her lack of experience will get her down the line.......so I don't think she could win. Obviously you know my thoughts on Sanjaya, I don't think Idol would ever let him win, even if the vote said such.
That leaves Blake. He appeals to a wide variety of people and is the most marketable of the bunch. I mean really, it is a singing competition, but really its not
I bet him 5 weeks ago at +465.......he is now down to +425.....He is a lock for the final four and then we go from there.
When you need to win the big one....Spaulding its time for the ole Billy Barou
It's something that I can watch with my wife and young son that they all enjoy and I get a kick out of it too..........makes up for the 87 other hours of sports I watch lol.
But leave it to me to try and make money off of something I'm watching
I love this image, Matty! It does have all sorts of hidden messages in the organaization of the boxes. I must say that even though America is crazy for keeping Sanjaya in so long, I also give a lot of credit to America for keeping Blake in so long. I think he is one of the best contestants - and could possibly win - but sometimes he's so trendy that I'm suprised he's been getting votes from all ages. I've loved him since his first performance - Keane! He has proved to be a solid competitor and has earned the respect of millions of voters!
I would love to see Melinda, Blake, and Jordin in the top 3!
Sanjaya has won this year's American Idol - Congratulations Sanjaya
