I understand that to most of you Arnold Palmer is an old man that pushed a lubricant called Pennzoil. Trust me, the man was much more than a carnival barker. In the late 50's and into the 60's he commanded attention. He was the GENERAL in "Arnie's Army". His records stand alone and to this day still stands. 17 consecutive years with a tour win. Not Tiger or Jack can match it. Four green Jackets attest to his skill.
Off the course Arnold Palmer was the ultimate gentleman. Many years after his skill's had faded he still commanded our attention. Not with a club in his hand but with his smile and personality. I am sad to say farewell but I am PRIVILEGED to have shared this earth with you.
RIP Sir!
