I would have to agree with 4loveofthegame. An average person can work a job for 40+ years and get a consistent raise every so often. An average athlete only lasts a handful of years in the league before they get "too old\" and are out of a job. So they need to get in, get as much as they can, and get out. I understand comparing an average athlete to an average working man is apples to oranges, but all I'm saying is that if an average person had the ability to ask for more money for our skill set, we would do it as well. So we cant blame the athletes for asking for more money even though it SEEMS like they make more money than they'll ever need. Remember, they also get used to a lifestyle with the money AND they most likely provide for their family and entourage. Go athletes! Get yo money!
