The Storm suspended center Angel Robinson’s contract and signed veteran Kristen Mann on Thursday.

Robinson is a naturalized citizen of Montenegro and is vying for a spot on its national-team roster. Montenegro is preparing for the EuroBasket competition running June 11-28 in Hungary and Romania.

Mann will fill the Storm training-camp roster spot, giving Seattle the WNBA maximum 15 players. Storm camp opens Sunday and its season opener is June 6 against Los Angeles at KeyArena.

Robinson, who was born outside Atlanta, appeared in 25 games for Seattle last season. The 6-foot-5 post averaged 7.1 minutes per game.

The season was Robinson’s first in the WNBA in two years. She spends her offseason playing in Spain, leading CB Avenida to the domestic-league finals this year.

Robinson, 28,hopes to replace fellow American Eshaya Murphy on Montenegro’s roster.

Storm returnee Waltiea Rolle (6-6), trade acquisition Quanitra Hollingsworth (6-5) and second-round draft pick Vicky McIntyre (6-7) will compete for starting spots inside the paint. Center Camille Little, who helped Seattle win its 2010 championship, was traded to Connecticut last winter.

Mann, 31, hasn’t played in the WNBA since 2010 when she appeared in five games for the Minnesota Lynx. She played in Madeira last winter, helping the team win the Portugal Cup in a 34-1 season, according to her Facebook page.

The 6-1 forward was a first-round draft pick by Minnesota in 2005. Mann has appeared in 130 WNBA games with four teams over six seasons, averaging 5.0 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.
