First of all I want to address one thing first and foremost. After a very good start to the year this month the last few days have been dismal. The two overtime losses on sunday just about summed it all up. As most of us know there are cycles in sports betting and it is inevitable but it still makes you scratch your head at times. Timing in life can be everything and it makes me feel sick for those who had just signed on. I assure you I am working hard to get things back on track like it was, and usually is.
Okay, today's historical moment. Frankly it is a sentimental one. It was on this date back in 2003 that the Buc's smacked down the Oakland Raiders in the Super Bowl by a 48-21 final. A dozen years ago. Damn! My folks used to love to go out to Las Vegas. Went a lot. This particular year my dad had recently passed and I overheard my mom talking about how she was going to miss all the vacations she and pop used to take. They did love to travel. I talked with my wife and decided to do something about it. So I called my mom up and told her to pack her bag and come to Columbia and that I had a surprise for her. When she showed up we hit the road and informed her we were heading to Vegas for Super Bowl weekend. She was stunned and smiling big for the first time in some time. I had contacted some of her closest friends from my home town and they arranged to also show up to surprise her. We stayed at what at the time was the new Aladdin. It was nice but had a smaller sports book. Anyway, it was a great trip. The look on her face when her friends from Moberly strolled up in the casino was priceless. My oldest daughter was also with us and she kicked ass on the craps table and I won a good sized bet on Tampa Bay. But most of all mom had fun.
Now, a free selection. I like Quin Snyders Jazz to take care of business at home tonight against the Celtics. Long road trip for the Celtics and while I admire the way they play hard and the points will be tempting for many I think the Jazz will be the right side in the end. Frankly there are trends supporting either case here. I think the Jazz are good for a small play here.
On the business side I have a subscriber double Star going tonight in college hoops but no way in hell was I going to publish a featured release with the buzzards luck we have had the last few days. Not in hoops. I do have my Super Bowl Triple Star ready to roll. I have cashed in on eight straight Super Bowl selections. I have also now cashed in on a documented 19 of my last 21 Playoff NFL Triples. Over the past two seasons we've been on the right side in 36 of the last 48. I feel as confident in this one as any.
That is it for today. Good luck with your action guys. And to those in the northeast good luck with the blizzard. Sounds like it could be a doozy.
