Warrington vs St. Helens KO 8pm GMT
This derby game kicks of the season for these sides, with the grand final losing Wolves playing host to the Saints. It promises to be a season of change for Warrington after the loss of veterans Briers, Morley and Hodgson among others. St. Helens finished the season quite well after struggling with injuries and many of their younger players showed promise in 2013.
The Wolves claimed two out of three victories over the Saints last season, with the visiting side claiming one win apiece while Warrington also won on neutral turf. The under hit twice in these contests.
I look for a well balanced St. Helens team to keep this game close and I think they have a good shot to win outright. The total seems a little low to me, perhaps because it's early season or due to those under totals coming in last year. However, no totals sat as low as tonight's, in fact the lowest number between these two teams was set at 44.5.
I am taking ST. HELENS +4 and OVER 38 [Pinnacle].
