The guy that runs the OTB in Weber City VA comes on a weekly local sports radio show for about 30 minutes on Saturday and gives his picks of the week. Had some extra time and thought I would post his picks here.
Jerry T is the mans name and he says he is a second generation horseman and been around horses since he was 8 years old, his father owned some racing horses. Hes from the Maryland area and has owned horses. From what I understand he pays attention to what horses sell for, breeding and watches reruns of many horse races. I personally dont know much of anything about horse racing. I have talked to a guy who frequents the local OTB and has good success their, even got in trouble with the I- R- S for not reporting his winning a few years a ago. He says Jerry T "couldnt play dead in an Army movie". I do know that JT was hot around Dec and Jan, hitting 6 of 8 picks of week at one time. 2) Favorite Jockey of all time riding this horse

Will post his anaylsis of these horses in a bit, along with a couple of other picks he had from other tracks, this pick 4 that JT is playing is .50cent ticket that costs $40, with the horse scratching in the 9th it might just be a $20 ticket.

Race 9 Saratoga - he liked #3 Jamaican Smoke, horse scratched so I wont include his analysis.
Horse #5 Judy the Beauty - Loves Wesley Ward the trainer, 29% going from turf to dirt, 31-60 days off he is 65%, Graded stakes is 17%, Jockey is 18% riding for W Ward, W Ward owns this horse.
JT says he is not putting the fav Agabe Kid in his ticket for this race, says it might be the kiss of death, but says he saw this horse run and something is not right with this horse.
Race #10 Saratoga - JT says this is a cometetive field and he could only get it down to five horses
Horse #1Rule - JT thinks this horse is sitting on a big race, JT said "do not, not put this horse in your ticket.
Horse #6 Ron the Greek - JT said was best horse last year, not quite as good this year, doesnt have the numbers he had last year.
Horse #7 Flat Out - JT said this horse hasnt been as good this year, best female jockey riding this horse.
Horse #8 Hymm Book - JT said this horse has a habit of jumping up and beating favorites, cant leave this horse off your ticket.
Horse #9 Fort Larned - Best buyers number in race, last four races have been 108 buyer number.
Race 11 Saratoga - got this race down to four horses
Horse #4Phillipe - been beat last couple of races, went back to 9/2/12 at Saratoga when same distance and conditions, 85 buyer number, good jockey, good trainer
Horse #5 Star Harbour - Lot to like about this horse, hasnt run since MAy.
Horse #6 Dominus - JT said everybody will be picking this horse and singling it, hasnt run since last year, horse was on triple crown trail last year till it got injured, Todd Fletcher is good at getting these horses to run good, Jockey is 29%, cant leave this horse off ticket, but singling this horse id suicide.
Horse #8 Bernie the Maestro - top jockey riding this horse, something about a 97 buyer number or last time out at Saratoga.
